The New Kids on the Block!

​​​​​​​​​TIPS & HIGHLIGHTS for New CRS Families

We are so excited to meet all of our new Copper Ridge School Families!
 We know what it's like to be new, and we are here for you! 
Below please find some tips and highlights to assist you :)

• All families should enter via the CRS Cafeteria, located in the back of the school (by the fields, SEE MAP BELOW). 
  
• There will be NO entry from the Front Office
• There is ample parking in the back of the school and on the fields. PARKING ATTENDANTS will be on hand to help guide you.
  
• Once in the Cafeteria...Look for the CRPTO WELCOME TENT (blue).
  
• Tours begin there are at 4:15 pm. 
  
• You will be guided toward the library for the New Family Orientation 
  
• Please note: Teachers will not be available until 4:00 pm
  
• After orientation, you will be escorted back to the CRS Cafeteria to meet Principal Walker get a jump start on the Open House activities.
  
• Once you have hit the Open House highlights, you are invited to visit your class/homeroom and meet your teacher(s).
  
• We look forward to seeing you on the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: AUGUST 5TH, 2024
  
• Please note: Students are not allowed on campus until AFTER 8:20 am. Gates CLOSE at 8:40am. Last bell rings at 8:45am
  

CAFETERIA HIGHLIGHTS - FOR ALL GRADE LEVELS

• CRPTO  Welcome Tent (blue) - brief Open House Overview
• Learn about and donate to the CRS Education Support Fund
  
• Sign up to be a CRPTO Volunteer - so many great opportunities to be involved including being a Room Parent
  
• Bus Routes- locate your bus based on your home address
• Learn about After School Clubs and Activities
• Spirit Wear - purchase T-shirts, socks, water bottles and shorts. PE uniforms are available for Middle School too!
  
• Purchase Meal Plans
  
• Pick up your CRS EduKit - Some teachers will allow you to drop your EduKit off in the classroom while others may ask you to bring them back on the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL--Monday, August 5th. (FYI: School starts at 8:45am)
  
• Enjoy a Kona Ice
  

GYMNASIUM HIGHLIGHTS - FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY

• Student packages - Pick up your student information packages including your FINAL CLASS SCHEDULE
• Student ID - pick up your temporary Student ID. Official IDs are given out on Picture Day
  
• Sports - Pick up a CRS Middle School Sports package
  
• General Lockers - If your student would like a general locker then you may request one
  
• Please note: All students taking PE will be assigned a locker
